'CMC' NEW OZ ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2015

Christie Lamb took home 'New Oz Artist Of The Year' at Thursday night's CMC Awards, the fan-voted awards are one of the country's most prestigious award ceremonies.

The 2015 Country Music Awards were held in Brisbane for the very first time at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and were the largest in the event's history.

The star-studded ceremony featured performances by International acts including Lady Antebellum, Kacey Musgraves, Lee Brice, Maddie & Tae and Aussie acts Troy Cassar-Daley and Adam Brand.

The CMC award was won off the back of the release of Christie's debut album 'All She Wrote', which peaked at #1 on the ARIA Australia Artist Country Chart and also earned her a Top 5 Finalist nomination in this year's Golden Guitar Awards for 'Best New Talent 2015'.

Whilst Christie's fan base continues to grow, she was blown away by the response in the fan voted competition and to receive the award. Christie is very proactive with her fans on social media and at live performances and thanked her fans and the Country Music Channel for holding the awards and for all of their support.

After the success of the first three single releases from her debut album 'All She Wrote', which spurned 2 #1 hit singles and a #3 hit single on Australian Radio, Christie has just released her fourth single 'Love Me Tonight' to radio.

The year ahead also looks busy and bright for Christie with plans underway for a National Tour, opening spots for The McClymonts and plans for a trip to Nashville in the works.
